The History of The Telemarketing Manager©

Where It All Began

The Telemarketing Manager © was originally written in 1989 in a computer language commonly referred to xBase that derived from the original dBASE (Ashton-Tate) programming language and database formats.  It was compiled using Clipper which allowed it to run as a standalone software program on Microsoft computers.

The software program was installed locally on a server and operated in a network environment to manage small, medium and large call centers that were generating incoming calls using direct mail advertising.

This type of software was considered revolutionary  in 1989.  It would allow the call center to track incoming calls, manage respondents, interact with clients, track lead source performance and even calculate the cost associated with new client acquisition.

The Telemarketing Manager© was a staple in many call centers around the country.  One center in Miami, FL was fully automated from the incoming call to managing product fulfillment and customer service.  This new software became the backbone of many call centers.

Fast forward to 2019 and the software developer gets a new idea.  Why not take the ideas and functions of The Telemarketing Manager© and recreate it using the newest Internet technology.  So in June 2019 new development started on The Telemarketing Manager© 2020 with all work being performed in the industry standard PHP and MySQL platform.  This makes data exchange and portability simple and comfortable for all.

You’ll find that The Telemarketing Manager© 2020 has just the right amount of features without all of the bulky things that you’ll never use anyway at a cost that anyone can afford.
